One person was killed and another injured in a shooting near the Colombo DIG’s office on Bastian Mawatha in Colombo.
Police say the shooting was carried out by two motorcyclists with a T-56 assault rifle.
A senior police official said the shooting appeared to be aimed at three people who were waiting to board a bus. Police say only two of them were shot and one died at the hospital.
