SriLankan Airlines has denied reports circulating in the media and on social media, including completely false facts and figures regarding the Acting CEO of SriLankan Airlines.
SriLankan Airlines has announced the appointment of Richard Nuttall, an International Aviation Management Professional, as its Chief Commercial Officer, with effect from 1 November 2021.
SriLankan Airlines said in a statement that his appointment was made in accordance with the airline’s standard recruitment procedure for such key positions and with the necessary approvals.
The post of Chief Executive Officer of the Air Force has been vacant since 31st December 2021 and the Board of Directors has decided to appoint Richard Nuttall the current second most senior member as the Acting Chief Executive Officer on a temporary basis and until a permanent appointment is made.
In addition to his job role as CEO, Richard Nuttall will serve as Acting CEO during the interim period.
