The risk of Covid is increasing, says Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle, Minister of State for Corona control.
It was reported today that 75 more cases of the Omicron variant have been identified in the country.
According to the latest report released by the Department of Allergy Immunology and Cell Biology, Department of Immunology and Molecular Medicine, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, 75 out of 78 new Omicron patients and 3 Delta patients have been identified.
The Minister of State said that the number of cases reported from hospitals has increased and the identification of infected people through corona tests is also increasing.
Ms. Fernandopulle said that this situation could not be taken lightly and urged the people to pay more attention to the observance of health laws.
