Co-Cabinet Spokesman, Minister Dr. Ramesh Pathirana says that the necessary permission has been granted to assemble vehicles in the country.
He stated that the relevant cabinet paper was presented by the Minister of Industries at the media briefing held today (07).
“Vehicle imports to Sri Lanka have been suspended due to the ongoing foreign exchange crisis. We hope that our foreign exchange crisis will be resolved gradually.
Until then the Minister of Industries presented a cabinet paper. Necessary permission has been granted to assemble vehicles in this country. The private sector will be carried out the relevant activities. “
