Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Sampath Thuyacontha has instructed the Tri-Forces Commanders to implement a special security plan to ensure the safety of worshippers attending Christian services on Easter Sunday.
He emphasized the importance of working in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security to implement necessary measures effectively.
The Defence Secretary highlighted that the goal is to provide a peaceful and secure environment for worshippers, avoiding a repeat of the disruptions caused by the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks.
