President Anura Kumara Dissanayake departed the country last night for a four-day official visit to China.
At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Dissanayake will undertake a state visit to China from January 14 to 17.
During the visit, the President is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, Chinese Premier Li Qiang, and other high-ranking state officials.
The delegation accompanying the President includes Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism Vijitha Herath; Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation Bimal Rathnayake; and Director General of Government Information H.S.K.J. Bandara.
