During the period from January to September, the number of foreign tourists who came to the island has reached nearly 1.4 million.
The Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority has stated that the total number of tourists who have visited the island from January 1st to September 8th is 1,395,773.
More number of tourists came to the island last February and the number is 218,350.
Also, more than 200,000 tourists have visited the island in the months of January and March.
A group of tourists from India, Britain, Russia, Germany and China have come.
The total number of tourists who visited Sri Lanka last year was 1,487,303.
