Mr. Anura Dissanayake, the presidential candidate of the National People’s Force, states that after he becomes the president of the country in the upcoming presidential election, a salary increase for public sector employees can be made from June 2025.
Since Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe knows that he will not become the president again, he said that he will increase the salary from January, even though it is impossible.
While joining a discussion on a television channel, Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake said that under a National People’s Power government, salaries will be raised in line with the cost of living
He also said that the salary increase will be done every six months.
