4 state ministers have been officially removed from their positions with immediate effect.
Premalal Jayasekara (Ports and Aviation Services), Indika Anuruddha (Electricity and Energy), Mohan Priyadarshana de Silva (Agriculture) and Siripala Gamlath (Highways) have been dismissed by the President.
This decision has been taken under the authority given to the President by Article 47(3)(a) of the Constitution of Sri Lanka.
