The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has planned to remove all the MPs who work against the party’s decision in the upcoming presidential election, from their responsibilities.
A senior official said that preliminary work has already been planned in this regard.
Accordingly, they are scheduled to be removed from the positions of seat organizers and party officials.
This decision will be reached after a close study of the activities of the concerned MPs.
The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna decided yesterday to nominate a presidential candidate from the party.
However, the Presidential Media Division announced yesterday (30) afternoon that 92 Members of Parliament have announced their support for President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the presidential election.
