The government has taken steps to introduce amendments to the Penal Code criminalizing all forms of sexual harassment and sexual abuse, including sexual harassment and sexual abuse in public places.
It has been approved in the Cabinet meeting held on 12-12-2022.
Accordingly, the draft bill prepared by the draftsman has received the Attorney General’s clearance.
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal presented by the Minister of Justice, Prison Affairs and Constitutional Reform to publish the bill in the Government Gazette and then submit it to Parliament for approval.
