It has been decided not to hold schools tomorrow (04), considering it a special holiday given to government schools in the following provinces, districts, and regions due to the disaster situation caused by the impact of heavy rains.
The Ministry of Education says that schools will be held as normal from tomorrow (04) in all other provinces, districts, and regions.
The ministry also says that depending on the weather conditions after tomorrow, the provincial authorities will inform the regional directors and take decisions related to holding schools.
Meanwhile, Southern Province Governor Mr. Laxman Yapa Abeywardena said that it was decided to close all schools in Galle and Matara districts tomorrow (04) and the day after tomorrow (05).
He said that this decision was taken after a discussion with the Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha.

- Sabaragamuwa Province
■ Ratnapura District – All Schools
■ Kegalle District – All Schools - Southern Province
■ Galle District – All Schools
■ Matara District – All Schools - Western Province

■ Colombo District – Homagama Zone
