According to the Maritime Environment Protection Authority, legal action has been taken regarding the fuel spill that occurred while unloading fuel from a ship that arrived at the port of Colombo.
On the last 30th, there was a leak like this from a ship that brought diesel belonging to the PetroChina company that brought petroleum from Singapore to Ceypetco.
Mr. Neel Priyadarshana, Deputy Manager of Maritime Environmental Protection Authority’s Ship Survey Division, said that a complaint was made to the Colombo Port Police.
