A warning to the country about a strong wind

The Department of Meteorology says that there is an increase in southwest monsoon wind flow across the island.

Due to this, meteorologists are warning all districts of the country about the risk of strong winds.

Below is the announcement.

Showers or thundershowers of about 75 mm will occur at times in Central, North-western and Southern provinces.

Fairly heavy showers about 100 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Nuwara-Eliya district.
