The Department of Examinations says that the call for applications for Grade 5 Scholarship Examination (2024) will start from today (27).
Examination Commissioner General Amith Jayasundara said that applications will be called online till the 14th of next month.
The Commissioner General of Examinations stated that the online applications will be closed at 12 midnight on June 14, and that the last date for accepting applications will not be extended for any reason.
He said that only students studying Grade 5 in a government school or a school approved by the government can appear for the Grade 5 scholarship examination.
Meanwhile, he also mentioned that students with low income who are below 11 years of age on January 31, 2025 will be eligible to receive bursaries.
The Commissioner General of Examinations said that instructions related to application can be obtained by visiting the website www.onlineexams.gov.lk.
The Commissioner General of Examinations Mr. Amith Jayasundara also mentioned that the instructions on how students with special needs should apply have been mentioned in detail in the instruction sheet.
Grade 5 Scholarship Examination 2024 is scheduled to be held on Sunday 15th September.
