The All Ceylon Restaurant and Restaurant Owners Association says that the food prices will be lowered starting midnight yesterday (05).
Its chairman Harshana Rukshan said that the prices of the recently raised food items will be reduced in the same way.
He stated that this decision was taken with the aim of providing the relief of reducing the electricity bill to the people.
Meanwhile, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board says that although the electricity tariffs have been lowered, no decision has been taken to reduce the water tariffs.
The panel said that they have not yet paid attention to discussing it.
