Total electricity charges will be reduced by 21.9% with effect from midnight today (04).
The Public Utilities Commission announces this.
Accordingly, the domestic electricity tariff reduction is as follows.
Rates will be reduced by;
33% for less than 30 units,
28% for between 31 -60 units,
30% for between 61-90 units,
24% for between 91-180 units,
18% for above 180 units,
33% for religious places and charitable institutions,
18% for hotels and industries,
23% for public-purpose premises.
