The government has taken steps to establish a fund in this country called “The Children of Gaza’s Fund” to provide relief for the victims of the conflicts in the Gaza Strip.

The proposal presented by President Ranil Wickremesinghe to establish it has been approved by the Cabinet.

With this, all the ministries and government agencies have been instructed to give this fund the allocated money for this year’s Iftar celebrations.

More than 10,000 children have been killed in attacks on Gaza since last October, according to the latest data from Gaza’s Ministry of Health.

Its data said about 1.1 million children lived in the Gaza Strip.

So far, the ongoing conflict in Gaza has killed 1% of the total child population in Gaza.
