Fish prices have come down significantly. Fish prices had increased in recent days.
The businessmen point out that the fish prices in the shops near the fishing ports, where most of the fish resources are harvested in the island, had decreased significantly.
Traders say that the price of a kilogram of fish, which was sold for Rs. 1000, was between Rs. 300-600 yesterday.
The wholesalers say that fish such as ‘Parav’ and ‘Lena Parav’ were sold for Rs. 400 per kg and Linna for Rs. 300 per kg.
