The Hulanda Oya bridge located on the main road from Embilipitiya to Middeniya through Thorakolayaya collapsed today (05).
A lorry loaded with logs was crossing the bridge and the bridge collapsed along with the lorry.
There were no casualties in the accident, and the police informed the drivers travelling on the above road to use alternative routes.
