Mr. Harin Fernando, Minister of Lands, Sports and Youth Affairs said that the presidential election will be held in the first week of October this year and Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe will be sworn in as the new president on October 14.
The minister says that Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe is the best candidate to build the terminally ill country.
Therefore, he said, it is the responsibility of the people of the country to make Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe the president once again, even if no one likes it.
