The ruling party, the Samagi Jana Balawega, and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party are preparing to hold separate special discussions today.
A meeting of the members of the ruling party is scheduled to be held this afternoon (24) under the chairmanship of President Ranil Wickramasinghe.
The parliamentary group meeting of the Samagi Jana Balawegaya is also scheduled to be held today under the chairmanship of Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the leader of the opposition.
The Sri Lanka Freedom Party has planned to hold a discussion today under the chairmanship of former President Maithripala Sirisena.
It is stated that the discussion will be held regarding recalling back the party members who have left the Sri Lanka Freedom Party and obtained positions in the government to the Freedom Party.
