A strong earthquake of magnitude 7.1 hit the Kermadec Islands in New Zealand today.
According to reports in the country, tsunami warnings were also issued due to its strength.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) said the quake struck at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.21 miles).
