The Fort Magistrate’s Court has today issued a restraining order to 27 people not to block the roads leading to the Galle Face area of Colombo during the 75th National Independence Festival to be held tomorrow (04).
It was to 27 people, including Galoya Siridhamma Thero, Joseph Stalin, and Duminda Nagamuwa.
The Magistrate issued the relevant order considering a request made by Fort, Kompanjaweediya, and Kollupitiya police stations.
The police stations had informed the court that the intelligence agencies had received information that the roads leading to Galle Face will be blocked to disrupt the Independence Festival.
