    1. I cannot agree. What have these claimants to “good hands” done to reduce imports and increase exports? Banning the imports of some goods is not the real answer. In the 1970s, Mrs B banned the import of some goods. Remember? It brought no permanent cure. The “good hands” are doing the same thing now. History repeats because of “good hands” like these. We need better hands than these. Now these “good hands” are trying to build nuclear power plants. What is the cost? Do we have the money? Do we have the required know how? If the people allow it, Sri Lanka will never be able to emerge from the debt trap it is in. The only beneficiaries will be the political decision makers and their acolytes. How? They’ll be able to make big bucks as commissions. As usual. I am ready to discuss further. Please name the date and time and place. A happy new year to you.
