    A market of Sri Lankan agricultural products in Russia

    Russia has agreed to support the creation of a market for Sri Lankan agricultural products in Russia.

    That was in a discussion held yesterday (14) between Mr. Levan S. Dzhagarayan, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Russia, Mr. Alexandar L. Rybas, Mr. Russian Trade Commissioner, and Mr. Mahinda Amaraweera, Minister of Agriculture.

    Here, he also discussed the introduction of new technology and technical tactics used by Russia.
    It was also discussed regarding getting chemical fertilizers including urea to Sri Lanka in the future.

    It was also decided to continue the discussions with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Russian Embassy in order to continue these activities.

    Minister Mahinda Amaraweera, who expressed his views, requested the Russian ambassador to express his support for the government’s program for the development of the agricultural sector in Sri Lanka.
