Litro Gas Company says they will release 40,000 domestic gas cylinders each day until next Wednesday (30).
Also, the company is issuing a statement saying that gas will be released only for factories and essential services on Sundays.
A ship carrying 4000 metric tons of gas is scheduled to reach Sri Lanka next Wednesday.
There is a shortage of Litro gas in some parts of the country, and quite a queue can be seen in some parts.
According to Litro Company, an increase in gas demand can be seen during the festive season.
It has also been affected by the delay in the arrival of the ordered gas stock to the island.
It was mentioned that gas distribution would be done as usual after the unloading process.
Also, orders for 34,000 MT of LP gas have been placed for December.
Litro Gas Company has distributed 42,000 cylinders to the market with restrictions.
Its chairman said that cylinders are currently being issued with restrictions.
The company also says that starting next Thursday, 100,000 domestic gas cylinders will be released each day.
