The Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court has issued an order today (11) banning State Minister Diana Gamage from traveling abroad.
It will be effective until the 17th of this month.
She has been accused of holding two passports with dual citizenship in Britain and Sri Lanka.
These accusations are being made against her after the 21st Constitution was passed in Parliament recently.
Due to the new constitutional amendment, dual citizens will lose the ability to hold a seat in Parliament.
