Investigations have revealed that the 300 kilos of heroin that was seized and brought ashore this morning during an operation by the Navy were sent to Sri Lanka by ‘Ran Malli’, who is the head of Harak Kata’s drug network.
Investigations have revealed that he is currently staying in Dubai and has sent this drug stock to this country by giving orders to Pakistani drug smugglers.
The heroin was obtained from a Pakistani boat in international waters.
The cargo of heroin has been taken over by the multi-day fishing trawler called ‘Kavidu Putha’ bearing the number IMULA-0879 MTR, which sailed from Dondra on October 11. It was on last October 24.
The Navy seized this heroin stock on November 5.
