A thief has entered the official residence in Mal Road, Colombo 07, where Mr. Poj Hanpol, the Ambassador of Thailand, resides and has stolen property worth about Rs. 300,000.
The theft took place yesterday (06) between 2.00 am and 7.00 am.
A mobile phone, a souvenir, Thai currency and 10,000 Sri Lankan Rupees have been stolen and many properties have been reported to the Kollupitiya police from the official residence of the ambassador.
The theft is taking place while there is a police guard outside the embassy as well as a private security guard inside.
An elected politician has to serve all communities.
