The Inland Revenue (Amendment) Bill has been gazetted.
Accordingly, a person with gross monthly earnings of Rs. 100,000 or more is subject to income tax.
Expenditure relief will not be applicable from 01 October.
Employers must deduct taxes from payments made to employees as Advance Personal Income Tax (APIT).
