A meeting between the New Zealand High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Mr. Michael Appleton and the leader of the National People’s Power, Anura Dissanayake, was held today (04) at the JVP head office in the afternoon.
Publicity Secretary of JVP, Member of Parliament Mr. Vijitha Herath and Deputy High Commissioner Mr. Andrew Traveler, and policy advisor of that office Mrs. Sumudu Jayasinghe were also present for this meeting.
The current economic and political situation in the country was discussed and the policies of the National People’s Power were discussed.
Also, attention was paid to increasing mutual understanding between the two parties.
