Litro Company says that two ships carrying 3700 metric tons of gas each are scheduled to reach Sri Lanka today (10) and tomorrow (11).
Its chairman, Mr. Muditha Peiris, states that the gas will be distributed from tomorrow (11th) from the ship which is scheduled to reach Sri Lanka today.
Accordingly, within the next two days, it is planned to distribute 40,000,000 gas cylinders at 140 selected locations in Colombo.
Meanwhile, the Litro company says that they will increase the price of a gas cylinder by Rs. 50 in the future.
Mr. Muditha Peres added that although the price of a gas cylinder should be increased by Rs. 200, it has been decided to increase the price by only Rs. 50, paying attention to the sufferings of the people.
