Walasmulla court has released on bail the son and daughter-in-law of MP Dilip Wedaarachchi, who was remanded for obstructing police officers at the Bedigama entrance of the Southern Expressway and committing criminal violence.
The two were released on personal bail of Rs. 500,000 each. In addition, he has been ordered to appear before the Weeraketiya Police on the last Sunday of every month.
Ravindu Wedaarachchi and Nethmi Harindi de Silva were released such on bail.
The incident had taken place on the 1st of June regarding an attempt to enter the expressway by keeping a refrigerator unsafe in the back of a cab.
The two were arrested after surrendering at the Weeraketiya Police Station on the 6th. They were produced in court yesterday and remanded till today.
