Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says that an agreement has been reached with the International Monetary Fund on fundamental issues.
He says that all the problems related to that have been resolved by now.
The Prime Minister said that the country should prepare a program on the basics within another two weeks, after which its officials would come here and look into the program and come to an agreement.
However, the Prime Minister has stated that he will try to do so expeditiously.
The Prime Minister also said that he would make a statement on the current situation at the next sitting of Parliament.
