The National Dengue Control Unit states that 1,576 dengue patients have been identified in the country during the last week.
This is an increase of 21.8 percent over the previous week, according to the National Dengue Control Unit.
The highest number of dengue patients has been reported from the Colombo district and that number is 409.
The National Dengue Control Unit stated that 171 patients have been identified from the Gampaha District, 157 from the Kalutara District, 119 from the Ratnapura District and 113 from the Kandy District.
Meanwhile, the National Dengue Control Unit also states that 21,484 dengue patients have been identified during the past year.
