Circular is issued restricting the summoning of state sector employees

A circular has been issued regarding the decision to restrict the summoning of staff of state-sector institutions to minimize public expenditure due to the scarcity of resources.

Problems with fuel supply have made it difficult for state sector officials to report to work due to improper operation of public and private transport services.

In view of the issues raised in this regard, it was decided to restrict the attendance of state sector officers so as not to interfere with the services being done by the government offices to the public.

Accordingly, Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Government, M. M. P. K. Mayadunne has instructed that a program be implemented to summon only the minimum number of essential officers until further instructions.

The relevant circular has been sent to the Secretaries of the Ministries, the Chief Secretaries of the Provinces, and the Heads of Departments.

Given below is the relevant circular.
