Amal Silva, a former member of the Western Provincial Council and an employee of the Moratuwa Municipal Council have been arrested in connection with the CID’s investigation into the attack on protesters in front of Temple Trees and Galle Face area.
The two were arrested in Moratuwa last night, according to the CID.
Another Moratuwa Municipal Council worker had been arrested earlier in connection with the attack. Accordingly, three persons have been arrested for assaulting protesters so far.
