Chinese President Xi Jinping says he will support to ensure the security of Europe by the European countries themselves.
He made the remarks during recent talks with German and French leaders.
On May 9th and10th, the Chinese president had a video conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and a telephone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron. He said he would help ensure security in Europe.
Even after two months, the Russia-Ukraine conflict is showing no signs of abating. It was also discussed that Europe is facing security challenges due to this conflict.
The Chinese president has also said that special attention should be paid to the groups that restrict European domination and obstruct the European strategic independence process. China’s proposal has been accepted by the French president.
