The Industrial Development Board entered into an agreement with Hambantota International Port Group to provide smart facilities at the Hambantota Maritime Hub.
It happened at a ceremony conducted with Industry Minister Wimal Weerawamsa.
HIPG Chief Executive Officer Jonson Liu and IDB chairman Upasena Dissanayake signed the agreement.
The new center will facilitate the identification of moveable properties and other services for prospective investors.
Mr. Weerawansa said Chinese investments in Sri Lanka had yielded in dollar revenue for the country.
“We need such investments to earn dollar revenue. We want to expedite export-oriented investments in the country,” he said.
