Army Commander Shavendra Silva says that the country will not be closed down in any way.

He says the new health guidelines will take effect from midnight today.
Accordingly, the existing health guidelines for weddings will be updated and if the hall has more than 500 seats, the maximum number of people who can attend a wedding will be 150.
Also, if the number of seats in a banquet hall is less than 500, only a maximum of 100 people can attend a wedding held at such a venue.
The number of people attending a funeral is limited to 25.
All state affairs have been adjourned until September 01.
Heads of Departments are requested to reverse the circular which summoned all public servants to work and decide who are essential for the duty.
