Vavuniya’s Poovarasankulam Police Station OIC, Inspector Anura Pushpakumara, was arrested by officials of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption for accepting a bribe of Rs. 500,000 to settle a land dispute.
He was taken into custody yesterday (21) evening while accepting the money in his official office at the police station.
