Former state minister Lohan transferred from prison hospital to Colombo national hospital

Former State Minister Lohan Ratwatte, who was under remand custody, has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.

The Prisons Department states that Mr. Lohan Ratwatte was admitted to the National Hospital due to an emergency health condition that occurred last night (02).

Mr. Lohan Ratwatte was arrested on the 31st of last month in connection with the possession of a luxury car that had been illegally imported into the country.

He was remanded until the 7th of this month after being produced before the acting Magistrate of Nugegoda.

Following the Magistrate’s recommendation to direct him for medical treatment, considering his health condition, steps were taken to send Mr. Lohan Ratwatte to the prison hospital.
