After the suspension of Minister Harin Fernando’s position as a Member of Parliament, there has been a competition between three former members of the Samagi Jana Balawega party for that vacancy.
Sources of the party say that this competition has arisen between former MPs Ajith P Perera, Sujeewa Senasinghe, and Hirunika Premachandra.
Accordingly, it is reported that the nomination of a person for the relevant MP position has been postponed indefinitely.
Most likely, it will be delayed until the end of the presidential election, according to its internal sources.
