Today, the Supreme Court has decided that the decision taken by Samagi Jana Balawega to expel Ministers Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara from their party is legally valid.
As a result of this judgment, Mr. Harin Fernando and Mr. Manusha Nanayakkara will lose their positions as members of Parliament.
Along with losing the position of parliament member, they also lose the ability to hold ministerial posts.
Mr. Harin Fernando is currently serving as the Minister of Tourism and Lands and the Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs.
Also, Mr. Manusha Nanayakkara is working as the Minister of Labor and Foreign Employment.
