Political sources are spreading that Hambantota District Member of Parliament State Minister DV Chanaka will be appointed as the organizer of Galle Constituency of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and lead the next election.
It is stated that State Minister DV Chanaka, who is married to the daughter of a famous businessman in Galle, is going to reach this decision with the aim of fulfilling the needs of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna party members in Galle area.
However, the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has not given an official notification in this regard so far.
Attempts to contact State Minister DV Chanaka over the phone to inquire whether he would come to Galle for political work from Hambantota district were unsuccessful.
