The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and a group of independent MPs from Uva Paranagama and Ella local councils (Pradeshiya Sabha) in Badulla district have come together with the Samagi Jana Balawegaya to support the opposition leader Mr. Sajith Premadasa.
Nimal Ranjith Weerasinghe, Samantha Kapila Ratnayake, Hemawathi Kumarihami and Bharatha Ranasinghe, who was the opposition leader of the local council of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna, are also among them.
P Suresh, who was an independent member of Ella Pradeshiya Sabha, along with RD Gunapala, Vice President of Uva Paranagama Pradeshiya Sabha and MPs DM Karunadasa, as well as retired General Manager DI Ratnapala, joined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya.
