It has been proposed to increase the minimum price of a postage stamp to Rs.100.
Mr. Anusha Palpita, Secretary of the Ministry of Media, says that he is waiting for the approval of the Treasury.
He claims that this decision has to be taken due to the continuous losses of the postal department.
Currently, the minimum price of a stamp is Rs. 50.
