Sources in the Ministry of Health say that various parties are pressuring the Ministry to change the Quarantine Act.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Health has so far received over 500 different proposals to amend the provisions of the relevant Act, said Dr. Hemantha Herath, Deputy Director General of Health Services, Media Spokesman of the Ministry of Health.
He said that the Ministry of Health is currently conducting an extensive study on the relevant proposals and requests.
