Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Member of Parliament Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara has also resigned from the membership of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE).
It has been learned that Mr. Jayasekara has forwarded his resignation letter to Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
The resignation of Mr. Dayarisi Jayasekara also happened a day after Samagi Jana Balavega (SJB) MP Iran Wickramaratne also resigned as a COPE committee member against the appointment of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna MP Rohitha Abeygunawardena to the post of COPE chairman.
